Description

The Presto Loom is available in 10-inch and 16-inch warping widths, crafted from unfinished Alder wood and equipped with an 8-dent heddle. Its sleek design features a raised metal beam, creating a spacious and beautiful weaving area. To enhance stability, the metal braces on the underside are fitted with small rubber stoppers, which not only protect your work surface but also prevent the loom from slipping while you weave.

A standout feature of the Presto is the Warp Helper Loop, designed to provide extra stability between the heddle and dowel rod during warping. Acting as an extra set of hands, this simple yet effective addition makes the warping process effortless. The Presto also boasts a metal ratchet and pawl system, complemented by rare earth magnets, ensuring exceptionally secure tension locking for a smooth weaving experience.

Need a portable loom? The Presto is perfect for on-the-go weavers! It easily disassembles—just remove the beams and braces, rotate the heddle blocks, and “Presto!”—you have a flat, travel-friendly loom.

Each Presto Loom package includes everything you need to start weaving immediately. Plus, as a special bonus, we include a skein of hand-dyed DK-weight merino yarn and instructions for your first scarf project. Every skein is uniquely dyed in our North America office, with colors changing regularly—so let us surprise you! This soft, luxurious superwash merino yarn will create a scarf you’ll be proud to wear. And when your friends ask where you got it, you can smile and say, “I made it on my Kromski Presto Loom!”

The Presto loom is crafted from highly sustainable Alder wood.

To minimise our carbon footprint and support our local community, we source our wood from local farm (up to 50km from our workshop).

Alder is prized for its light tan to reddish-brown hues and uniform texture. Because we work with a natural living material, variations are a part of every piece.

Embracing Nature: Customers should anticipate that Unfinished (U) products may have darker areas or flecks of deep reddish-brown. These are not flaws or weaknesses, but natural occurrences typical in wood. We believe these variations bring out the true, organic beauty of the wood, making every Kromski product unique.
