It’s reassuring to have all the tools you need to handle almost any situation, whether at home or on adventure. Our new Maintenance Kit has you covered, from everyday care of your beautiful spinning wheel to dealing with a spinning emergency on the spot.

Inside this convenient zipper pouch, you will find:

• A super-soft microfiber cloth helps keep your spinning wheel free of dust and spots. Use it for routine cleaning—no harsh chemicals needed. It works well dry or with just a touch of furniture polish if necessary.
• Got a squeak or a tight wooden tension screw? Use the included wax block to lubricate any wood-to-wood contact points that need attention.
• An Allen wrench is included to retighten hex bolts as needed. For Fantasia owners, we’ve also included the smaller Allen wrench used for changing whorls.
• If your wheel has a Walnut or Mahogany finish, you’ll appreciate that the kit contains a small amount of the original stain used in Poland during manufacture. It’s perfect for touching up minor blemishes on a well-loved wheel. Apply with a soft brush or cloth, using multiple thin coats rather than one heavy layer.
• Use the oil pen to lubricate metal-to-metal parts.
• A small screwdriver is included for tightening screws that may loosen over time—for example, the screw at the top of the footman where it connects to the crank.
• The brake band and spring can wear out with use, especially if tension is often over-tightened. That’s why we’ve included a new Brake Band Set in the kit.
• Finally, a broken drive band can stop spinning in its tracks. The kit includes a hemp drive band, which can replace existing hemp bands or serve as an emergency replacement for wheels that use poly bands. Simply tie it on, adjust the tension, secure with a square knot, and trim the ends close.
